When your personal information is no longer needed, we will delete it or convert it to an anonymous form.

Name, gender, year of birth, e-mail address, password (encrypted), country, profile picture, golf handicap, distance unit, place and time at which you used golf courses with our app, data on golf rounds entered, IP address , traffic data related to your internet connection; and information about how you use our software.

We use your personal information to provide you with the Breaking 77 Services, including creating and managing your user account and providing customer support.

We collect information about your device in order to customize the services for you in the best possible way:

We use the web hosting provider GmbH, Franzstr. 51, 52064 Aachen in Germany. Our provider processes the personal data entered by the user (name, address, …), their contact details (telephone numbers, email addresses, …), contract data, information about your use of our offers (access times, viewed content, …), content (audio files, documents , …), as well as the technical communication data stored in the server log. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in making our offer available with the appropriate quality and securely.

Server log

When you visit our website, your browser automatically transmits the following data to our web server:

  • The request with the information from which page you are coming
  • The website address
  • Your IP address
  • Browser type and browser version
  • The time of the request
  • The result, i.e. the requested website page or an error message

This data is kept in a “server log” by our hosting provider for the purpose of logging and is automatically deleted after a few days. Under no circumstances will this data be passed on to third parties. Likewise, this data will under no circumstances be merged with your personal data. The storage serves the purpose of tracking possible abuse and fraud incidents.

Which data is processed by Google?

In doing so, Google collects data that is collected during use of your device, your browser and the apps used (e.g. IP address, date, time and the URL via which you were forwarded to our app/website). If you have a Google account and are logged in there while using the services, Google also collects data that is stored in your Google account. You can prevent the connection to your account by logging out of your Google account before visiting our website.

Purpose of data processing

Google collects this data on the one hand to be able to provide the requested services and on the other hand to improve, maintain or optimize the services. You can find more information on this in Google’s data protection declaration.

Google LLC in the USA has undertaken to ensure adequate data protection in accordance with the American-European Privacy Shield.

Google Analytics for Firebase

Due to our legitimate interests in the economic operation of our offer and its analysis with the aim of optimizing our offer, we use Google Analytics for Firebase. Cookies are used to collect information about the user of the offer and pass it on to Google. Due to our legitimate interests in the economic operation of our offer and targeted advertising offers, we integrate the Facebook pixel. This sends information to Facebook in order to be able to display behavioral and content-based advertising. Facebook also sets cookies in your browser that store this information. We may send you emails for marketing purposes. By registering in the app, you agree to receive the newsletter and the procedures described. The following data is required to be entered:

  • your email address,
  • the preferred language of the newsletter

In addition, the following information is also automatically saved:

  • date and time of your registration,
  • your IP address
  • technical data such as browser settings and system information.

This serves to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with the legal provisions.

The newsletter is sent using the mail service provider “MailChimp”, a newsletter mailing platform of the US provider Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. You can view the data protection regulations of the shipping service provider here: The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a MailChimp is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection standards.

The data determined in the registration process will be passed on to “MailChimp”. MailChimp can use the recipient’s data in pseudonymised form (i.e. without being able to assign it to a specific user) to improve and optimize its own services or for statistical processing. MailChimp will never pass the data on to third parties or use it to contact you.

Measuring success at MailChimp

Based on the data mentioned above, statements can be made about target groups and their reading behavior, about retrieval locations or access times. The statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. The evaluations help us to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.

Legal bases of processing

The sending of the newsletter and the measurement of success associated with it are based on the consent of the recipient in accordance with GDPR Article 6 Paragraph 1 lit. Deletion of your newsletter data
